Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Transdev in Houston, TX. As a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing transit vehicle maintenance, inspecting, diagnosing, servicing, and repairing all assigned transit vehicles and mechanical equipment.Responsibilities

• Perform transit vehicle maintenance in compliance with company standards
• Inspect, diagnose, service, and/or repair all assigned transit vehicles and mechanical equipment
• Ensure accurate upgrades and/or modifications on coach systems
• Read and interpret safety documents, blueprints, schematics, and other mechanical diagrams
• Other duties as assignedRequirements
  • 21 years or older
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Valid drivers' license with a clean driving record
  • 3+ years' maintenance experience with all types of heavy-duty transit equipment
  • ASE certification preferred, training available
  • Excellent communication skills
