Position Summary:

The individual in this role will be assigned a group of facilities / market. - This position is accountable for inventory performance, end-customer service level and spoilage control at assigned facilities. - This individual will have a solid grasp of wholesale foodservice supply chain disciplines with a focus on inventory management and procurement. - He / she will set inventory performance targets, assess merchandising staff capabilities and recommend organizational changes while developing processes and solutions which anticipate and resolve future problems.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Set inventory performance targets, assess merchandising staff capabilities and recommend organizational changes at assigned facilities
Coordinate regular reviews with facilities and other stakeholders to change and/or modify business practices
Develop and use weekly audit reports to verify merchandising adherence to system use goals. - Plan and execute system and/or process updates which bring the process back under control and track compliance
Define forecast strategy including historical data, statistical forecasting methods, time horizon and forecast frequency
Deliver on supply chain objectives related to inventory performance, end-customer service level, spoilage mitigation and transportation efficiencies

Qualifications:
Education: -High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. - Preference will be given to individuals with a masters degree in a quantitive or optimization discipline.
Experience: 10+ years experience with forecasting and inventory management processes and systems in businesses with high volumes of customers and products

Skills and Abilities:
Experience with advanced planning and forecasting systems (10+years) such as E3 SLIM or TRIM, JDA Replenishment and Fulfillment, i2 Replenishment, Manugistics DPEE or Manhattan DPR
Enterprise Resource Planning Systems experience (10+years): - SAP ECC, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft or Oracle ERP capabilities considered a plus
Experience (5+ years) as a master capacity planner in a production environment or replenishment buyer in retail or wholesale distribution
Information Technology / Applications Development experience in a Supply Chain context is considered a plus
