TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified NICU RN in Houston, Texas, 77054 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Job Duration: 12 Weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse Certifications: NRP & BLS Must-Have: - Two years of NICU experience - Skills in infant assessment, IV management, and respiratory support management Job Description: - Work in a unit with 146 beds, including 64 Level 3 & 4 and 82 Level 2 - Collaborate with a staff of 376, consisting of charge nurses, clerks, and nurse techs - Engage in varying patient care ratios depending on acuity (1:1 to 1:4) - Utilize all NICU-specific equipment and EMR systems such as Meditech and CPN - Conduct typical procedures like lumbar puncture, central line placement, circumcision, and eye exams - Demonstrate strong communication skills and team collaboration - Focus on parent satisfaction and patient safety - Float across all NICU areas, general nursery, and pediatrics with infant assignments - Follow the dress code of royal blue scrubs; adhere to "bare below the elbows" policy - Work a minimum of 4 weekend shifts and 2 Monday/Friday shifts per 4-week schedule, including holidays as per unit guidelines 26123273EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency PALS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Adapting to new environments, team dynamics, and patient populations fosters adaptability.
