RESPONSIBILITIES: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Registered Nurses (RN) work closely with doctors and heart
specialists to control patients--- blood pressure and to prevent
heart failure. The CVICU RN Provides education and support to
families and patients while acting as a liaison between the doctors
and the patients. CVICU RN job responsibilities include, but are
not limited to: Assesses a patient---s condition and implements
care plan while observing and recording patients--- vital signs
Administers medication and operate cardiovascular equipment like
oxygenation machines and balloon pumps CVICU RNs respond to
