Description We are looking for a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at St. David's Medical Center. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients. You will work closely with other healthcare team members to provide exceptional patient care and promote optimal unit operations. • Performing diagnostic radiographic procedures and demonstrating techniques to produce optimal study
• Using all equipment in the clinical area, including fluoroscopy, c-arm, tomo, and portable units
• Interpreting physician orders prior to performing exams and ensuring safe radiation protection
• Assisting physicians and radiologists in procedures requiring sterile technique
• Preparing and administering radiopaque contrast media for radiologic exams
• Assessing patient's condition prior and during all radiologic procedures
• Providing optimum patient care during exams and maintaining a clean and safe work environment Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or graduation from an America Medical Association-approved program in Radiologic Technology
  • Licensed by Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist
  • Registered in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT (R)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date
